What is a Brazing Furnace?

A brazing furnace is a type of vacuum oven ideal for brazing, the process where two or more metal materials are joined by using a dissimilar metal filler, because of its controlled gaseous environment inside an evacuated chamber. Once materials are placed inside the furnace, they are heated until the filler metal starts to flow. All components are then placed in another compartment of the furnace to cool and produce the finished product.

How Brazing Furnaces are Used

Brazing furnaces are necessary to produce stainless steel, ceramic, and aluminum products. These ovens provide many benefits, including:
• Improved temperature uniformity
• Simultaneous brazing of multiple joints for mass production
• Slower heating and cooling for improved mechanical properties of the material
• Control and elimination of unwanted constituents
